Caterpillar Driven

When we need to make an important decision taking time will always help. Give yourself 5 minutes to live with this Privet Hawkmoth Caterpillar to engage with its simplicity and faith that it can work out the best solution for its difficult situation.  It can help you to meditate upon your personal need.

This caterpillar came indoors on a bunch of my Bramley Apple Tree twigs.  It was returned later but it shows just how much diversity is needed in a garden since the Bramley seems equally adequate for its needs as the large privet hedge which also resides nearby.  It will drop to the ground leaf litter in autumn to pupate (form a chrysalis) and then emerge as a good-sized moth early summer ready to lay its eggs hopefully somewhere in my garden.
