Fungi to do the Job
This old Maple stump has been left to rot while standing one metre high. It has been decaying for around six years and has been home to many insects and also birds have found secret places in it to nest and raise their young.
Now it is literally on its last legs with an accompanying skirt of Bracket Fungi taking advantage of its soft base. The inevitable will happen . . . .
