Iceplants Draw Attention in September

The so called ‘London Iceplant’ is the most fantastic late summer feeding ground for bees. Not only is it a lovely autumn sight, often in unusual places, it is also very easy to grow. Try it! Recorded September 2022.

Sadly, there are no bees circulating amongst the sedum this (2024) year’s excessively wet and cold months have seemingly decimated them. Following the decimation of bees last year, this year (2025) has seen more bumble bees but a very low number of solitary bees and virtually no honey bees.
