Ancient Woodland Indicators 2026
Here is the same place where violets grew last year in 2025 (A Startling Discovery). It is now full of many other guests. These include: cotoneaster, feverfew, St John’s Wort (of Herbalist Fame) and shamrock. It is a wonder of nature that these welcome plants have decided to take advantage of a damp and protected place, yes, very much as they do in the shade of ancient woodland. June 2026 Field Maple
