Beetles?

Finding something moving about on my organic vegetables, recently picked for my dinner, first startled me and then enchanted me.  My bells started ringing when, only that morning, I had read an article in the People’s Trust for Endangered Species Newsletter about the vulnerability of the Noble Chafer.  These two may or may not be Noble Chafers. Rose Chafers are also very bright green (and the bane of Rose Grower’s lives?) Anyone out there who can tell me?

Whether Noble or Rose Chafers, they are free to carry on and multiply and in my organic garden having faith that birds will benefit from their larvae in the large amounts of dead wood I have about the place.  I also grow roses! Field Maple
